The Tatra National Park Museum in Tatranská Lomnica is one of the most visited museums of its kind in Slovakia. It is visited annually by about 30 000 tourists.
In the exposition of the TANAP museum you will get acquainted with the nature and history of the Tatra Mountains, but also with the life and culture of the people of the Tatra Mountains in the past.
The unique exhibits of Tatra animals such as the Tatra chamois, the Tatra marmot, the Tatra mountain marmot, the lynx, the wolf of prey, the brown bear and the mountain deer are a significant dominant feature of the museum's exposition. Children can explore the bear's den right before entering the exposition and get to know a little bit more about the life of our biggest beast.
The exhibition part of the museum is divided into four parts - natural history, nature conservation, historical and ethnographic. There is also the possibility of screening films for groups by arrangement. In addition, the TANAP Museum also sells information and souvenir items such as postcards, maps, books, DVD films, brochures, stickers, products made of natural materials and other souvenirs.

Visitors can enter the exhibition of the TANAP Museum with lecturing, which takes place every working day (Monday to Friday) at 9:00 and 13:00. Guided entry is only available for groups of at least 7 visitors. Group tutoring can be booked in advance by email: muzeum@tanap.sk at other times during the weekdays from 9:00 to 15:00.
