Robber's cottage located in Great Cold Valleywhich is exceptional in the High Tatras with the largest number of plies (26) of various sizes and characters, and is rich in Tatra fauna and flora. There are countless hiking, mountaineering, ski mountaineering and natural history activities. The chalet is also strategically located for those planning multi-day treks through the High Tatras.
Zbojnícka chalet is located in the High Tatras in the Veľká Studená valley in altitude 1960 m above sea level. The cottage is open all year round and offers accommodation and refreshments. Zbojníčka is hidden among the mighty Tatra peaks - Slavkovský štít, Východná Vysoká, Javorový štít, Svistový štít, Javorový štít, Široká věža, Prostredný tip and adjacent ridges.
She built it in 1907 State Forest Administration Liptovský Hrádok. It first served as a hunting lodge, but in 1910 it was opened to hikers and climbers.
The Zbojnícka chalet has year-round operation and the character of a tourist hostel. It offers accommodation on bunk beds with a capacity of 16 people. The guests have the possibility of preparing their own meals in a small kitchen at the hostel, where there is a gas cooker, utility water and a drying room. The toilet is in the outdoor area behind the cottage. The kitchen is also open all year round for all visitors.
In the summer months you will enjoy the terrace overlooking the valley, in winter or bad weather a pleasant sitting by the fireplace in the dining room. The cottage is stocked with porters all year round. In exceptional cases - heavy loads, a helicopter is used.
The hut is a rescue station of the mountain service. Zbojnícka chata is a resting place for those who come from Hrebienok, from Mala Studená dolina via Priečná sedlo, or from Bielovodská dolina via Prielom.
For pedestrians:
The cottage can be reached by the blue trail from Starolesnianska poľana. It can be reached, for example, from Hrebienok along the magistrála. The ascent from Starolesnianska poľana takes two and a half hours. It is a relatively gentle climb, halfway up there is a bit secured with chains, then the climb is a bit steeper and before the hut it eases again. The yellow trail leading from the Little Cold Valley through the Priečná sedlo ends at the Zbojnícka hut.
There are several routes to get to Zbojnicka chata.:
From Hrebienok and Starý Smokovec - the fastest and safest access
2,5 - 3h from Hrebienok (↑ 720m)
3,5 - 4h from Starý Smokovec (↑ 980m)
Route: the hiking trail will lead you to us through the beautiful Veľká Studená dolina valley from Hrebienok (2.5-3 h), which you can reach by an overland cable car from Starý Smokovec. The more fit can start already in Smokovec (30-40min for more).
Suitable conditions: can be done in almost any conditions, but June to October is best. In winter and spring on skis, snowshoes, but also on foot with crampons.
From Téry's hut - from the east
2,5 - 3h (↑ 370m, ↓ 400m)
Route: The crossing of the Cross Saddle is very well known and is a challenge for many experienced hikers, as the saddle is reached with the help of chains.
This crossing is also suitable for making a beautiful round Hrebienok > Téry's chalet > Priečne sedlo > Zbojnícka chata > Hrebienok. This route can also go the other way around.
Suitable conditions: June to September, or without snow and ice. Preferably in dry conditions.
From Sliezke's house - from the west
3,5 - 4h (↑ 690m, ↓ 370m)
Route: A very nice route leads to us from Sliezský dom (Velická dolina). It first ascends to the Polish Ridge (530 m) and after it, after a short descent, the ascent to the Prielom saddle begins, from which you then descend to Zbojnicka 300 m lower.
Suitable conditions: June to September, or without snow and ice.
From Lysá Polana - through the Bielovodská valley from the north
7 - 8h (↑ 1260m, ↓ 300m)
Route: the approach through the Bielovodská valley, the longest in the Tatras, to Zbojnicka chata is used when traversing the Tatras from north to south, or vice versa. It is very likely that you will not meet other tourists on most of this route.
