Studenovodské waterfalls is a group of multi-stage, cascading waterfalls. The waterfalls are one of the most visited tourist destinations in the High Tatras. The hike to the waterfalls of the Cold Stream starts in the village of Starý Smokovec. The first thing to do is to walk the path to Hrebienok, which takes about 50 minutes on foot or 4 minutes by an overland cable car. From Hrebienok you continue on to Bilíkova chata, which is only 5 minutes away from the top station of the cable car. There is a nice view of the upper Giant Waterfall from the bridge on the Tatra Highway. The white foamy water falls through a gorge between two rocks to a depth of 20 m. The lower Triple Waterfall has a poetic name in Hungarian and German, which can be translated as "waterfall of artists". It is hidden in the forest and is rarely visited by tourists. Four other waterfalls lie below the junction of the Big and Little Cold Stream. The highest of these is the cascade of Little Waterfall. At an altitude of 1 247 m lies Hidden Waterfall. Below it at 1 226 m is the lower end of the cascades of the Great Waterfall. Its highest cascade measures 13 m. The cascade-like Long Waterfall is situated directly opposite Bilík's hut on Hrebienok and is accessible from the yellow-marked trail leading to Tatranská Lesná.
