The Piarist Lyceum in Sabinov is a Renaissance Protestant lyceum from 1530, which was rebuilt in Baroque style in 1745 - 1748 and transformed into a Piarist gymnasium with a monastery.
The lyceum has a regular plan with a central courtyard. The original Protestant building preserves, among other things, the Renaissance cross vaults on the ground floor.
The building considered today as the most important baroque monument in the city is currently the seat of the Na korze Cultural Centre. This centre - besides providing tourist and information services - manages in the building the town gallery, the museum exposition "Historical Sabinov" and there is also a concert hall, which is adapted for creative workshops, concerts, exhibitions and lectures.
