The Greek-Catholic wooden church of St. Basil the Great was built in 1730 in the village of Krajné Čierno and dedicated to one of the most important Eastern saints.
The temple is built on a stone foundation and is characterized by its three-part, three-space architecture with three-armed crosses at the top of each tower. In the tower of the temple there is bell from 1876.
The wooden church of St. Basil the Great hides inside beautiful iconostasis atypical for its four-aisle architecture with preserved icons from the 17th century - from the time of the construction of the temple. Its the most precious icon is the icon of the Taking down of the Cross on the throne in the sanctuary from the 17th century. The last restoration of the iconostasis was carried out in 2000-2005.
Since the wooden church in Krajný Černý was one of the hundred most endangered monuments in the world, in 2000-2004 it was possible to raise funds for its repair.
