The Dunajec flows amidst the picturesque mountains of the Pieniny National Park. The river has a rocky bottom with many rapids and river meanders.
At Červený Kláštor, the Dunajec River enters a beautiful canyon called the Dunajec Gorge. In its numerous bends it forms frequent but not too difficult rapids. Rafting on this river is also suitable for less experienced paddlers. Recently, however, especially rafting on this river has become a popular tourist attraction on the common Slovak-Polish section of the Danube.
During the summer season on the Dunajec River sightseeing cruises organised by various associations and organisations offering cruises on different sections of the river and with different lengths of cruise.
