Statue of St. Florian in Bardejov

On the square of Bardejov, in front of the Basilica of St. Aegidius Minor, there is a statue of St. Florian, the patron saint of firefighters.

The late Baroque stone statue was built as a remembrance of the firewhich destroyed the town houses and partly the basilica on 27 May 1774.

The original statue of St. Florian, which is stored in the museum's lapidarium, was replaced by a copy in 1982.
