The Snina Ponds swimming pool is located in the Upper Zemplín region on the outskirts of the town of Snina, 3 km from the centre. The area of the natural bathing biotope RO Rybníky is one of the first swimming pools in Slovakia using the technology of self-cleaning water with the help of plants and algae.
The swimming pool is surrounded by the Vihorlat Hills with cycle paths and hiking trails that lead visitors to the well-known Snina Stone (1 005 m above sea level).

The Sninské rybníky bio-bathing pool was rebuilt in 2010 from the original 3 swimming pools. As already mentioned, water filtration takes place in the biological zone through aquatic plants.
The natural bathing biotope is divided into three parts - area for small children (depth up to 0.4 m), a section for non-swimmers (depth 1.1 - 1.5 m) and a swimming section (depth up to 3.5 m). The swimming section is separated from the non-swimming section by a pier. The surroundings are complemented by grassy areas.
The premises of the swimming pool in Snina are beautified by a fountain with an artificial brook. In addition to the bathing area, there are also outdoor fitness facilities, a modern playground made of wooden elements, a tennis court and a multifunctional playground available for visitors. Of course, there is a possibility to rent a sun lounger. In addition, there are also catering and accommodation services.

Just reconstruction of the Snina Ponds to a natural bathing habitat has returned this recreational area to its recent charm and restored its life in many aspects.
The Snina bio-swimming pool attracts guests not only from all over Slovakia, but also from neighbouring countries - in the first four seasons after the reconstruction, it welcomed a total of 300,000 visitors.
