Descend the highest waterfalls on our planet, raft a predatory river, climb the highest mountain in Nepal, set off across Antarctica, and don't leave the Slovak Tatranská Polianka in the process.

Unattainable?

Paradoxically, many of these beauties of the planet and the world can be found exclusively in the Slovak High Tatras. At the beginning of 2019, a unique European digital project opened its doors to the public, by the well-known authors of the successful family gallery Tricklandia, Marian Bizub and Marian Aštáry, under the name "Poliankovo Gallery - Dialogue with the Planet".

The co-creator of the individual expositions is a well-known Slovak documentary filmmaker Pavol Barabášwho was in favour of this unique project from the very beginning.

"This beautiful project will allow visitors, thanks to digital technology, to be part of spectacular expeditions around the world that we have walked and filmed for all those who love nature and our planet," says Pavol Barabáš.

The Poliankovo Gallery offers the opportunity to feel the unexplored places that only top climbers and real adventurers have conquered in the world.

Thanks to digital representations and simulations, each visitor will have the opportunity to visit up to 11 different digital simulations - places on our planet. Different forms of presentation are used, such as virtual reality, 3D projections, augmented reality images, photographs or shadow play.

The digital representations and simulations cover an area of 140 m² and offer up to 120 m² of mirrors. This unique experience for children and adults is unparalleled in the Central European region.

Another co-creator of the gallery, Marián Bizub, adds:

The High Tatras are an ideal place for our activities. This time we were inspired by the place where our gallery is located - in Tatranská Polianka. We believe that just like Tricklandia, this project will be successful.

The Poliankovo Gallery is open to the public every day from 9.00 to 18.00.

This year we have prepared several novelties in the Poliankovo Gallery. Two new exhibits were added to the current exhibition Dialogue with the Planet. We wanted to add something for the youngest visitors so that they also leave the exhibition excited. We added a buggy that visitors (not just children) can hop in and ride through the forest. We have also added an interactive tree to the interactive forest, there are animals that react to visitors. that will delight even the little ones.
