The Izabela thermal swimming pool is located in the climatic and mineral spa Vyšné Ružbachy. There are 2 large and 2 children's outdoor swimming pools and 1 indoor thermal pool.
The original attraction of the Izabela swimming pool is island with tall coniferous trees. You will also find the jump tower with a height of 5 metres or retractable dome on the thermal indoor pool, which together with the moving walls ensures close and unrepeatable contact with the surrounding nature.
Thermal indoor swimming pool with a water temperature of 34 °C is open all year round. The thermal water is brought directly from the Izabela borehole of the Vyšné Ružbachy Spa. It is a natural healing water with healing effects on diseases of the circulatory system, respiratory diseases, mental and female diseases.

Mineral springs in Vyšné Ružbachy
Spa town Vyšné Ružbachy lies on the border of Pieniny and Spišská Magura. The effects of healing water from mineral springs in the vicinity of the village have been known since the 16th century. The first references to the most famous spring, called Crater. This protected natural formation is a unique source of not only in Slovakia, but also worldwide. The other two are located only in New Zealand a Iceland. Although the crater reaches a temperature of 24°C, swimming is prohibited. However, the main source of the baths is Isabella, located in the spa area on the edge of the forest. The borehole itself is deep 208 meters and is able to produce 20 litres of water per second. The water in this spring also reaches a pleasant temperature of 20°C. The spring is moderately mineralised with a total mineralisation of 2 774 mg/l and a carbon dioxide content of 1 200 mg/l. The Izabela spring is the most abundant spa spring and the most carbonated spring in Europe.
In addition to the hydrotherapy facilities, it supplies the summer swimming pool. On the territory of the spa there are up to fourteen mineral springswhose flow rate is 150 litres of water per second. They contain minerals such as Calcium, Magnesium, Carbon and are used in the treatment of various problems such as diseases of the musculoskeletal system, cardiovascular disorders, oncological diseases, female diseases, diseases of the digestive tract and many others. Another important spring classified as a natural healing source is Source : Joseph.
Its water is moderately mineralised, carbonated, with increased calcium, magnesium and fluorine content. The spring reaches a mineralisation of up to 3 000 mg/l and has a higher carbon dioxide content than Izabela - 1 470 mg/l. The water flows out of the spring at a temperature of 20°C. Legendary sources of mineral water, Spring of Love a Source : Forgetting, are located about 5 minutes walk from the main signpost by the swimming pool.
It is said that one should first drink from the Spring of Forgetfulness to forget the old love and then from the Spring of Love to find a new one.
