Beskydy Nature Reserve

The Beskydy Protected Area covers an area of 49.44 ha in the cadastral territory of the municipality of Svetlice in the Medzilaborce district. It was declared a nature reserve in 1981.

The Beskydy Nature Reserve with the fifth level of protection is declared to protect a unique remnant of the preserved original forests of the Low Beskydy Mountains, as an example of biodiversity of biocenoses for scientific research, educational and cultural-educational purposes.
