A memorial plaque dedicated to the Carpathian Germans, pioneers of exploring the High Tatras, was unveiled on the building of the Lyceum in Kežmarok in 2011.
On the plaque are listed the names of important personalities who worked in Kežmarok and the High Tatras in the 17th to 20th centuries - Alfréd Grosz, Tomáš Mauksch, Dávida Frölich, Juraj Buchholz Jr., Juraj Buchholz Sr., Ján Still and Kristián Genersich.
