The Greek-Catholic wooden church of St. Michael the Archangel was built on the hill behind the village of Šemetkovce in 1752. The church was damaged during the Second World War. It was rebuilt after 1945.
The temple is three-part, three-space, three-towered with three crosses. It is built on a low foundation of broken stone. The entrance is from the western part into the narthex. The construction of the temple is log, the tower is columned.
An interesting feature of this temple is relatively narrow main tower. The roof of the church and the tower is covered with shingles.
The interior of the temple is dominated by iconostasiswhich is five-row architecture on five floors. It dates from the middle of the 18th century, except for the series of feasts and the Apostolic Council, which date from the end of the 17th century.
Northwest of the temple is built massive wooden belfry on a raised stone foundation with a columnar structure. On the top there is a three-armed simple cross. Three bells are suspended in the belfry.
The restoration of the exterior of the wooden church in Šemetkovce took place around 2001.
