The Spillenberg House in Levoča is the only two-storey building from the Gothic and Renaissance period. In the 16th and 17th centuries it belonged to an important family of physicians and pharmacists.
The Spillenberg House has a rich Renaissance decoration on the front facade. Above the entrance portal is the coat of arms of the family with the emblem of doctors and pharmacists, with a snake. Below the coat of arms you will find an artistically wrought lattice. The forging is also in the courtyard on the Renaissance railings.
Spillenberg's house is also said to have been home for a time Julia Korponayová, known as The White Lady of Levoca. Legend has it that during the period of the Estates uprisings, when Levoča was besieged by the imperial army, Julie, out of love for the commander of the enemy army, Stefan Andrássy, betrayed the town and secretly let the imperial soldiers in, for which she was executed.
