Repisko (Spišská Magura)

The highest peak of the Spišská Magura Mountains is Repisko 1 259 m above sea level. NIt is located approximately 4 km northwest of the village of Ždiar, extending into the catasral territory of the Tatranská Javorina municipality. The border of the Tatra National Park and the protection zone of the Pieniny National Park runs through the top.

Spišská Magura has a predominantly mountainous to upland relief. Many mineral springs spring up here. Spišská Magura used to be a logging and pastoral landscape. Until recently, the mountains were located away from traffic arteries and the surrounding area has preserved many folklore sights. The mountain is intertwined with a number of marked hiking and cycling trails, but there is no marked hiking trail leading to the Repisko hill itself.

Repisko lies on the southwestern edge of the mountains, on the edge of the Tatra National Park. A large part of the mountain is deforested.

There is no marked trail to the top and the easiest ascent is from the saddle Pod Príslopom after "blue sign via the crossroads Pod Príslopom and the ridge to the top.
