Nature Reserve Dubová hora

The Dubová hora Nature Reserve is declared for the protection of preserved natural forest communities of acid oak beech forests of the Slanské vrchy Mountains for scientific, research, educational and cultural purposes. It was declared in 1983 on an area of 61.34 ha. It is located in the cadastre of the village of Okružná. There are interesting rock formations on the territory of the nature reserve. Rock complex Jad lIt is located on the southern side of Oak Mountain. It consists of two dominant large rock cliffs. The name Džad comes from the original name Diad, i.e. Dedo, Ďad. The bottom of the higher rock window is about 6 m long and 3.5 m deep.

SMohyla's muddy formation is located on the top of the hill of the same name on the ridge of the Slanské Hills. The top massif of Mohylik has the shape of an elongated pyramid. Rock formation Stone face is located at the end of the side ridge that rises northeast from the top of Mohyliek. It is the transformed face of a lava flow. Weathering and weathering conditions have created a unique relief that resembles the features of a human face.

Approach, from where, length, time, elevation: A green hiking trail leads from the eastern part of the village of Podhradík to the rock formations in the area of Dubová hora, near Šebeš Castle. The length of the route is 4.2 km, ascent time 1:15 h, elevation 299 m.
