Water area of the natural swimming pool Poppy has dimensions of approximately 60 × 100 meters and 4,100 cubic meters of potable water. The pool has a solid, concrete block-reinforced bottom and edges, which is particularly good for maintaining the temperature of the water, which is between 21 and 27 °C in the summer season, depending on the weather.
The Makovica swimming pool is divided by buoys into two parts - part for swimmers with a depth of up to 3.5 metres and part for children with a depth of up to 1.5 metres. The water depth increases gradually and continuously. Adventurous visitors can test the diving bridge, which has two levels: 2 m and 4.5 m - the greatest depth is just below it.
Lounging and sunbathing areas are grassy and frequently mown, both in the sun and in the shade under trees, or even on the heated pool edges. Of course there are cabanas, outdoor showers, indoor showers with hot and cold water and toilets.
Natural summer swimming pool Makovica has capacity of approx. 1 500 - 2 000 persons. The average attendance during summer weekends is close to the maximum when the weather is nice.
