Medieval military camp in Stara Ľubovňa

Not only weapons and military machines are the attraction of the medieval military camp. In July and August you will be presented swordsmen from all over Slovakia and old traditional craftssuch as blacksmithing, pottery or basketry will be demonstrated by skilled craftsmen. Throughout the year, the camp organises several entertainment and events: mass medieval battles, medieval feasts, performances of swordsmen and musical groups, burning of St. John's fires with belly dancers, burning of the Morena, etc.

Medieval military camp offers accommodation in two or six-digit period tents. As captains of a medieval army, you will sleep on wooden chests with an epic, but you should also bring sleeping bags and blankets. The wooden chests also serve as lockable storage space.

There are also ladies' and gents' showers and toilets in the camp. For the more adventurous and those who don't want to overdo it with hygiene in the Middle Ages, there are wooden tubs ready for washing.

The medieval military camp in Stara Ľubovňa is the starting point for hiking to the nearby forest park and other marked hiking trails, and even to maintained cross-country ski trails in the winter season.
