The circuit is about 4 km long without big elevation changes and starts and ends at Hrebienok. You can walk it peacefully in an hour to an hour and a half. For German and English-speaking tourists, printed materials are available in wooden boxes. At the stops you will learn how glaciers have shaped the Tatra valleys, what "Tatra granite" actually is, you will look at the complexity of the upper boundary of the forest.
Contemporary hiking in the Tatras has an interesting history, even overnight accommodation was not easy at first, after simple shepherd's huts appeared Rainer's shelter. Mountain streams are a rare environment for life in harsh mountain conditions. The movement of valley glaciers and the erosive action of the Cold Creek have created a famous set of waterfalls. In the end, you can see a geomorphological and botanical peculiarity - the occurrence of a rhombus tree at a very low altitude on a rare rock fracture. Stops 1 to 5 and 7 are also accessible for people with disabilities. The route is open all year round.

For pedestrians: from Starý Smokovec you can reach Hrebienok on foot by following the green tourist trail to Hrebienok. The route can also be facilitated by an overground cable car. The Hrebienok nature trail starts with the red hiking trail up to the crossroads near the Rainerova útolni, where you continue along the green hiking trail past the Studenovodské waterfalls, the Rainerova útulni to the Bilikova hut and back to Hrebienok. The whole route will take you about 1:15 hours.
