Newly marked cycling route "Countess trail" in Humenne, locality Hubková.
Within the framework of the project "Cycling on Hubkova along the newly marked cycle route", which was supported by the Pontis Foundation and in cooperation with SCK Humenné, a 14.5 km route/circuit has been marked, of which 12.5 km runs along unpaved forest roads and 2 km along paved roads with asphalt surface. The "Grófka trail" is suitable for mountain bikes.
The cycling route starts in Humenne at the open-air museum /where the map is placed/, continues through Handrix along the former carriage road to the Hubková hut from where the route leads over the Kochanovský ridge along the forest road to the crossroads Nad Černovou, where it connects to the existing blue marked tourist route. About 500 metres further on, the route turns right onto the forest road and after a while it joins the yellow marked tourist route, from which after about 300 metres it turns left onto the forest road towards the information panel at the game reserve above the village of Brestov. From there, the trail leads along the forest road to the grave of Countess Vandernath /where benches are placed for a small rest/ and continues along the meadows through Holá hora to the town of Humenné and through Záhradná, Kudlovská and Šmidkeho Street to the open-air museum.
The time for cycling the route is approximately 1.5-2 hours at a relaxed pace with breaks.
