A WEEK IN THE SIGN OF ST. NICHOLAS
Thursday 5.12. series of programmes continues Poprad Christmas 2024 the arrival of St. Nicholas with a procession to St. Aegidius Square, where at 17:00 h together with Mayor Anton Danko will light the Christmas decoration in Poprad, one of the most beautiful in Slovakia.
Visitors can refresh themselves with the Mayor's punch immediately after this act. It will be served free of charge in alcoholic and non-alcoholic versions by the Mayor of Poprad and his wife, including both vice-mayors of the city.
Another St. Nicholas gift will be given to the citizens of Poprad on Friday 6.12. in the form of launching of the ice surface for public skating at the CVČ in Poprad in the old South.
On Saturday 7.12. will take place in the Church of St. Egidius Christmas church concert performed by the early music duo Ensemble Thesaurus Musicum from Žilinawhich takes us back to the 16th-18th century of European provenance.
On Sunday 8.12. Nicholas will return again. This time it will be travelling and will delight children from all parts of the city. Already in the morning in the House of Culture the youngest spectators can enjoy the magician Wolf with the program "Funny band for Christmas" and in the evening the second Advent tower concert performed by the Tatramat Matejovce brass band awaits everyone.
