In the High Tatras you can enjoy hiking in the year-round available mountain huts, or take smaller trips from Hrebienok, where you can comfortably take a cable car. The Tatra people have also prepared popular attractions and colourful events.
For those who like cross-country skiing there are well groomed trails for classic and skating style in Štrbské Pleso and Tatranská Lomnica. Classic cross-country skiing can be enjoyed by the public in Stary Smokovec and in the Black Stork Golf Resort in Veľká Lomnica.

Ice beauty on Hrebienok
The popular winter attraction Tatra Ice Dome on Hrebienok opened its doors at the end of November 2018. It will be open until the end of April 2019. Visitors can enjoy the atmosphere of St. Peter's Basilica and Bernini Colonnade in ice. In the creation of the ice dome, the following materials were used up to 1880 ice blocks, which together form more than 225 tonnes of ice. Tvorcom ľadového chrámu je Adam Bakoš s tímom slovenských, českých a španielskych sochárov. Zážitok z návštevy ľadového dómu umocňujú živé hudobné koncerty. Thanks to the already traditional event Tatry Ice Master to the beautiful ice unique will be added on Hrebienok also ice sculptureswhich will come to life under the hands of world-class ice sculptors on 12-13 January 2019. The public will be able to admire them after the event, weather permitting. 
A unique experience with four-legged pets and a rich accompanying programme can be experienced by visitors to the Tatras on 9 - 10 February 2019 in Tatranská Lomnica at the event Snow Dogs.

Tatranská Lomnica
The most modern Slovak ski resort, where there are 12 ski slopes of varying difficulty. The total elevation reaches up to 1 300 m, there is a 5-month snow guarantee and state-of-the-art 15-seat cable car. Extended slopes guarantee a great experience on first-class carving 5.5 km track with a width of up to 60 m. The resort also offers almost 6 km of slopes of the lowest difficulty, which will be especially enjoyed by families with children
Strbské Pleso
The centre is the highest ski resort with the lower station at an altitude of up to 1400 m above sea level with najdlhšou lyžiarskou sezónou na Slovensku. Nachádzajú sa tu vynikajúce lyžiarske podmienky so skvelými traťami na slalom, zjazd či bežecké lyžovanie i službami s najvyšším štandardom. Lyžiarom ponúka 9 kilometrov ľahkých a stredne ťažkých zjazdových tratí, ktoré s obľubou využívajú rodiny s deťmi a pokročilí lyžiari.
Starý Smokovec
Lyžiarske stredisko slúži najmä menej náročným lyžiarom a lyžiarom začiatočníkom. Jakubkova lúka s ľahkou obtiažnosťou zjazdoviek ponúka možnosť dôkladne sa pripraviť na náročnejšie trate.
