Visitors to the Prešov Region can also get information about tourist opportunities through the free Tourist Newspaper. The second issue was published by the Regional Tourism Organisation of North-East Slovakia for the winter and spring season.
Since June this year, KOCR Northeast of Slovakia has been publishing the Tourist Newspaper of the Prešov Region. The newspaper is published twice a year - for the summer season and the beginning of autumn and the second issue for the winter season and spring.
In the Prešov Region Tourist Newspaper readers will find inspiration for winter and spring trips, current information about news in tourism in the region and also the biggest events of the season. The newspaper is supplemented with interesting facts about individual regions, tips for skiing and cross-country skiing routes.
Tourist newspapers are available free of charge in all tourist information offices in the Prešov Region, also in most cultural facilities (museums, galleries, castles, etc.) and are also distributed at large events according to the interest of local governments. Regional tourism organisations operating on the territory of the Prešov Region distribute newspapers also to the private sector, especially to hoteliers and operators of various attractions. They are available online on the organisation's website www.presovregion.travel.
"The newspaper is published as a source of information for visitors to the Prešov Region and the general public. Current information from the whole region is gathered in one place. This way, visitors to the information office in the High Tatras will also learn about what is on offer, for example, in the Upper Zemplín region, and will be inspired to make further trips or extend their stay in the region.," said Martin Janoško, director of KOCR Northeast of Slovakia.
