PREŠOV - In Prešov On 24-25 October 2023, the 28th edition of EUROCUP 2023, the international competition for young bartenders, will take place, opening up for the fifth time also to young baristas. Future professionals from the catering and service industry from all over Slovakia and from Bled, Slovenia, will compete at the event.
Prešov Hotel Academy will organize the international bartending competition Eurocup Junior Bartenders for the 28th time. The event will be complemented by the 5th edition of the Eurocup Junior Barista coffee and coffee drinks competition and the first edition of the competition in the preparation of festive boards with the theme Around the World. The general public is also invited.
EUROCUP opens the door to talented young people who want to raise the level of gastronomy.
Thanks to its scale and tradition, the competition ranks among the largest events of its kind in Europe. In addition to competing, it offers an opportunity for professional development of young bartenders, baristas and young gastronomes, in the form of workshops with renowned professionals from practice. During the two days of the competition, the a rich programme prepared for visitors and competitors alike.
The event is organized together with partners by the Hotel Academy in Prešov, which has been educating promising bartenders, baristas and quality gastronomes for a long time. More than 2 000 young bartenders from 21 European countries and also from across the ocean from Mexico have taken part in the competition so far.
The bartending competition will take place in the sports hall of the Hotel Academy on Okružná Street on Wednesday 25 October 2023 from 9.00 to 16.00 and is open to the general public. On the same day, the school will open its doors to visitors for a unique open day full of presentations, workshops and tastings.
The coffee and coffee drinks competition, as well as the festive table setting competition, will take place a day earlier, on 24 October.
