The upcoming long weekend will mark the end of the 2022/23 ski season in the High Tatras and Jasná.
In Lomnickom saddle in the High Tatras there is still a meter and a half of snow on the ski slope, during the extended weekend the cable cars in the sections Tatranská Lomnica - Start, Start - Skalnaté Pleso and the cable car to Lomnický sedlo will be in operation. For pedestrian visitors, the land cableway from Starý Smokovec to Hrebienok and the Solisko Express cableway at Štrbské Pleso will also be in operation.
During the Tatra May Day, visitors can try out mountain carriage rides on a 3km track from the Start Intermediate Station to Tatranská Lomnica, in addition to spring skiing, cable car trips and tasting Tatra gastronomy.

After the extended weekend, the cable cars in Tatranská Lomnica will be in spring maintenance from 9th to 19th May, on Štrbské Pleso the Solisko Expres cable car will be in operation during the weekends. The funicular to Hrebienok will continue its daily operation.
In Jasná, the largest ski resort in Slovakia, there will be skiing in Liptov and Horehronie, i.e. in the sections Chopok - Priehyba and Chopok - Kosodrevina, where there is still half a metre of snow on the slopes on average. On Saturday, Sunday and Monday the cable cars will be in operation in the sections Biela pút' - Priehyba and Priehyba - Chopok, on the south side the cable cars Krupová - Kosodrevina and Kosodrevina - Chopok. After the extended weekend, the cable cars in Jasná will be in operation only on weekends.
