Reconstruction of the Manor House in Hanušovce nad Topľou

The second stage of the reconstruction of the Manor House in Hanušovce nad Topľou, which belongs to the Regional Museum in Prešov, should cost more than EUR 1.8 million. 

Reconstruction of the Manor House in Hanušovce nad Topľou should continue with stage II. The Prešov Self-Governing Region wants to finance the repairs from the Slovakia Programme. This conceptual plan was approved by the regional deputies on 15 April 2024 within the Slovakia Programme 2021 - 2027 at an estimated budget cost of more than EUR 1.8 million.

The reconstruction should include restoration of the interior of the Great Manor House in Phase II at a cost of more than EUR 1.4 million, restoration of bell-shaped roofs a roof decoration a Manor House worth more than 280 thousand euros and making attic spaces accessible a open depositories in the amount of EUR 100 thousand.

The reconstruction is to revive and restore the original authenticity of the building, taking into account the current requirements for its museum function, to present the artistically valuable parts and elements of the period residential culture in the premises of the second floor. Also to improve and modernise the technical equipment of the building, to take into account the complex demands of the 21st century museum operation.

Last year, the first stage of the reconstruction of the manor house was completed, in which the following works were carried out new distribution of central heating, health technology electrical networks. In addition, part of the demolition work was carried out, the new sanitary facilities of the building on I. and II. floor and boiler room on III. Floor. In total, almost 830 thousand Euros were invested in the first phase, of which 475 thousand Euros were provided by the Ministry of Culture from the Renew Your House programme.
