In the new year, Radio Slovakia is launching a new programme called On Cross-Country Skiing in Slovakia, which is also partnered by the Regional Tourism Organisation of the North-East of Slovakia. Within the Prešov region you have the opportunity to discover two extraordinary cross-country skiing locations - [trip:3808;Levoča Nordic Centrum] and [trip:12116;Pieniny].
White running track. Have you tried it yet? There are many places in Slovakia where cross-country skiers can find excellent conditions (it just has to be snow): beautiful "rails" for the classics as well as a well-groomed track for "skaters".
The presenters of Radio Slovakia will take you to the white trail in Radio Weekend every Saturday. You can use them to cross a part of the Beskydy-Javornice cross-country skiing route, you can get on groomed routes above Levoča, in Horehronie, near Zuberec, in Pieniny and on Skalka in Kremnické vrchy (Kremnica Mountains).
And every Saturday (until 20 February 2021 - inclusive) you can in Radio Weekend Win a weekend stay with breakfast for 2 people in the location from where we will report. (Of course, you will collect your prize when the pandemic situation allows it.)
The prizes for the competition in the Presov region were donated by Hotel near Leva a Cottage Pieniny - the main partners of the competition in the Prešov region.
How to enter the competition?
The question will be asked at the beginning of the show at 9.05 on Saturdays. Answers must be given during the session, no later than 9.50. Answers should be emailed to bezky@rtvs.sk. Or send a text message in the form "bezky, space, correct answer and contact details (first name, last name, address and phone number)" to 7773.(SMS is charged at 0.20 EUR. This fee is charged for the technical provision of the SMS and is not considered as a stake in the competition)
Listen to Radio Weekend on Saturday at 9.05 a.m., run and compete with Radio Slovakia.
(The competition is open to all RTVS listeners who have reached the age of 18 at the latest on the day of entering the competition.)
If you want to compete specifically for a stay in the Presov region, listen to the radio show Radio Weekend on 23 January and 6 February 2021 or Radio Regina Stred on 29 January and 12 February 2021. During these dates there will be a competition for a stay in the above mentioned accommodation facilities - Hotel near Leva a Cottage Pieniny.
