The Horný Zemplín Regional Tourism Organisation in cooperation with the Matej Bel University of Economics in Banská Bystrica is conducting a survey of opinions on the development of tourism in the surroundings of Domáš, which will contribute to strategic planning in the destination. The activity is implemented with the financial support of the Ministry of Transport of the Slovak Republic.
The research focuses on two target groups: visitors and the local population. The information gathered from visitors to the sub-destination will be subsequently analysed and communicated with CR actors in the local government, business and non-profit sectors.

"We can thus set up an effective improvement of the quality of services in the CR sector with regard to sustainability. At the same time, we want to know how the local people perceive the development of CR in the Domaše area. We want to discuss with them the possibilities of CR development and its positive and negative impacts on life, local culture and the environment. These findings will be the subject of a separate expert conference planned for autumn this year.," uviedla Michaela Zdražilová, riaditeľka OOCR Horný Zemplín.
The aim of this activity is to know the limits of the selected sub-destination, to improve the quality of services provided, to better define the priorities of the territory, to listen to the local population, as tourism affects their lives and the environment in which they live. When communicating with entrepreneurs and municipalities, the OOCR will be able to operate with relevant data and better plan activities in the territory.
