PSK cultural organisations prepare events for spouses

Museums, galleries, libraries, education centres, as well as the observatory and the theatre of the PSK have prepared a rich programme for spouses as part of the National Marriage Week campaign.

The National Marriage Week campaign will run nationwide from 13 to 19 February. Cultural organisations of the Prešov Self-Governing Region (PSK) are also involved in the event. They have adapted the programme to the main theme, which is Legacy. They are also offering special discounts to spouses.

Museum in Kežmarok has prepared a video presentation "Symbol of Love" with an equal competition with interesting prizes for the visitors during the National Marriage Week (NTM). On Friday, February 17, the museum will offer discounted admission for all couples in love.

Spouses can take advantage of a special promotion for 1+1 free tickets in Regional Museum in Prešov  a Regional Gallery in Prešov throughout the week. Completely free of charge, they can look into the Vihorlat Museum in Humenne, where a tour is prepared for them focused on the history and fate of the Andrassy family couples.

Spouses can also enjoy music under the starry sky or an astronomy programme in the Observatory and Planetarium in Prešov The 50% discount also applies to souvenirs and publications. Discounted admission for spouses is also offered Alexander Duchnovič Theatre in Prešov for the performance of The Beggar's Opera.

P. O. Hviezdoslav Regional Library in Prešov will focus on lectures with Mr. and Mrs. Muránsky and Mr. and Mrs. Babinčák. There will also be talks on finance. In addition, the spouses have the option of an annual membership for 0.10 euros. Spousal membership will also be offered David Gutgesel District Library in Bardejov a Hornozemplín Library in Vranov nad Topľou.

Ľubovňa Library in Stara Ľubovna The photo exhibition from last year's competition will be available until the end of February. Vihorlat Library in Humenne invites you to the Valentine's Ball at the Community Centre, the recitation competition and the activity "Leave a secret message to your favourite book character". Ján Henkel Library in Levoca prepared a "Blind Date with a Book" and a discussion evening. Podduklian Library in Svidník invites you to a talk on marital cohabitation. It also offers membership for 0.10 euros for spouses.

Two of the county's outreach centres also took part in National Marriage Week. Podduklian Enlightenment Centre in Svidník has prepared activities in Cernin for married couples to refresh their relationship and Hornozemplín Education Centre in Vranov nad Topľou invites you to "Ludo Quiz" and charades with lecturers.

National Marriage Week is a worldwide campaign to promote marriage that takes place during the week of St. Valentine's Day celebrations. In Slovakia, NTM has been running since 2011. In Prešov it is organized by a group of volunteers from the civic association Živ(vé) vztah. The aim of the NTM is to encourage people and help them in building their marriage.
