In addition to sports, hiking, wellness and spa activities, as well as attractive history, the UNESCO city of Bardejov, with its Bardejov Spa, is also a destination for visitors who enjoy culture. Likewise the town of Svidník and Dukla. [article:12164;Observation tower at Dukla] (cadastre of the village Vyšný Komárnik) is closed to the public for operational and investment reasons until 31 June 2019, or until further notice, but other attractions, including the permanent exhibition "Military History of Slovakia 1914 - 1945" in the Military Museum in Svidník, are accessible. The north-east of Slovakia thus offers an interesting variety of cultural events, some of them with a tradition dating back to the Middle Ages. Radomír Jančošek, the director of the Regional Tourism Organisation (OOCR) "ŠARIŠ" - Bardejov, informs about it.
,,The most attended and most important event in the field of tourism, entertainment, culture and commerce in northeastern Slovakia is a traditional Bardejov Fair, with more than 500 market traders and a contribution of 100 000 euros to the city budget. Also in 2019, Bardejov will welcome from Thursday 22 to Sunday 25 August 2019 thousands of visitors. This year is the 668th historical year of this event, which is also the 48th modern Bardejov Fair. There will be a rich cultural programme and accompanying events, such as the popular rock festival BARDROCK." R.Jančošek suggests.

- Breathekova afternoon in Promenade Park - June - performance of a brass ensemble.
- The Games of Roland the Knight, 14 June 2019 (Friday) at the Town Hall Square. It is held within the framework of the 778th anniversary of the first written mention of the town of Bardejov. The programme includes period theatre, games for children, knight tournament, falconers' performances, fencing duels, period dances. In the evening a historical parade takes place.
- St. John's fires - 21. Junea 2019 (Friday), Promenade park by the fountain in Bardejov - lighting of the traditional Janska candle. Cultural programme, introduction to the tradition of the Midsummer Night.
- Cultural Summer - Béla Kéler - 23 June, 2 July, 26 July, 30 July, 2 August - 10th year - a series of 6 concerts within the framework of Béla Kéler's cultural summer. The aim of the festival is to present the musical work of Bardejov native B. Kéler.
- Streetart 2019 - 21 - 23 June 2019, 8th year, City of Bardejov - Street Art Symposium of the City of Bardejov.

- International Music Summer - 65th year, 1. 7. 2019 - 1. 9. 2019, stage at the Spa Colonnade, concert hall of the Astória Hotel. Classical music concerts are held daily (except Mondays) at the colonnade by the salon orchestra in July and August. The MHL also includes a series of 10 classical music concerts in the concert hall of the Astória Hotel, starting at 19:30.

- Elizabethan Day - 16th year, 18. 8. 2019 (Sunday), Spa colonnade area. Memorial Day, which is held in honour of the visit of Empress Elisabeth - Sissi, who spent two weeks in Bardejov Spa. The commemorative ceremony at 14:30 at the monument to the Empress. Accompanying programme: a walk with Empress Sissi and Franz Joseph in period costumes around the spa grounds and a photo opportunity with them. Various accompanying programmes. Free admission.
- Overview of brass bands and beer festival - Year 7, 1. 9. 2019 (Sunday), Spa colonnade area. A show of brass bands and folk ensembles, which will take place in front of the Spa Colonnade. Accompanying programme for children. The event includes a small Beer Festival - presentation of several types of Heineken Slovakia beers.
