At the end of January 2024, Svidník will commemorate the 79th anniversary of the liberation of the town from fascism. The town under Dukla lies in an area that was particularly affected by the fighting of World War II. The difficult times are still commemorated by memorials, war cemeteries, a museum and exhibits of heavy combat equipment, including tanks, located in the Death Valley.
