Until the end of November, the public can nominate personalities, products and facilities for the Best in Tourism of the Prešov Region 2018 award. The award will be given for the fifth time to those whose activities and quality contribute to the development of tourism in the region.
The Best in Tourism of the Prešov Region award has been organised by the Regional Tourism Organisation of the North-East of Slovakia in cooperation with the Prešov Self-Governing Region since 2014. The main task is to appreciate and motivate people who work in tourism and help in its development and can be Thanks to their qualities of a role model for others.
Nominations can be submitted until the end of November 2018 in four main categories - Tourism Personality, Best Product, Best Facility and Best Tourism Employee.
In the category Tourism personality Awards will be presented for lifetime contribution, education, entrepreneurship and tourism development in local government. It is also possible to nominate products that in 2018 contributed to the development of tourism and to the increase in the number of visitors to the region (events, attractions, festivals, etc.)
In the equipment category, nominations can be cultural facilities, entertainment and relaxation facilities and attractions, information offices, accommodation and restaurant facilities. Best category employee is open to skilled workers in the service sector, such as guides and information officers in cultural and information establishments, chefs, bartenders, sommeliers, waiters and so on.
"The Prešov Region is home to many experienced and skilful personalities who participate in the development of tourism in various areas. Whether it is education, business, local government and the whole complex of areas contained in the lifetime contribution. In this year's edition we want to introduce such people to the public and offer their life achievements as a source of inspiration," said Martin Janoško, director of KOCR Northeast of Slovakia.

B) CR development in local government
C) CR education
D) CR business
II. BEST CR product
III. BEST CR facility:
A) BEST cultural facility
B) BEST sport/relaxation facility, attraction
C) The best CR information facility
D) BEST ACCOMMODATION
E) BEST restaurant
IV. The best CR employee
On the basis of nominations from the public, it will select award-winning personalities and products expert jury. In the categories Best CR facility and Best employee CR winners will be chosen by the public in the online voting. The public will also decide on the most popular tourism product. Online voting will take place from 14 December 2018 to 13 January 2019.
"Quality service, helpful staff and attractive products attract visitors and contribute to the growth of tourism in the regions and the whole region. The nominations in these categories are themselves recognition of a job well done," added Janoško.
