The mini-research centre of wooden temples in Ľutina is a unique place where you can find faithful miniature wooden temples of the Eastern rite.
Miniskanzen was created with the aim of preserving and presenting the common heritage of the Slovak-Ukrainian border region - wooden churches, of which more than 40 have been preserved in the territory of eastern Slovakia to this day.
The Miniskanzen is situated in the grounds of the Basilica Minor in a nicely landscaped area with walkways and information boards that give a brief history of each church.
In one place you have the opportunity to admire more than 40 gems of folk and spiritual architecturethat are exact replicas of their originals. In the miniskanzen you will find miniature churches from the villages of Frička, Krivé, Zboj, Hrabová Roztoka or Ruský Potok. In addition, there are also miniatures of selected wooden churches from the Polish and Ukrainian border area. The wooden churches are made in scale 1 : 10.
In addition to the mini-cinema, one of the dominant features of Ľutina is the new wooden temple with a lookout tower, which offers a beautiful view of the surroundings. This temple is a faithful copy of the original burnt temple. The village of Ľutina itself is a well-known pilgrimage site.
