Troopers to the castle and to the libraries!

Pure unitarians can rejoice. During the first holiday weekend, the Prešov Self-Governing Region will reward them for their efforts and results at school. It offers them free entry to museums and galleries and a year-long membership to regional libraries.

The most successful pupils and students can visit several cultural facilities under the jurisdiction of the Prešov Self-Governing Region free of charge during the next weekend. This opportunity is offered by Vihorlat Museum in Humenne, Podtatranské Museum in Poprad (including the branch in Spišská Sobota), Museum in Kežmarok, Regional Museum in Prešov (including manor house and archaeopark in Hanušovce nad Topľoubranches in Stropkov), Andy Warhol Museum of Modern Art in Medzilaborce, Ľubovňa Museum - castle in Stara Ľubovna (the privilege of a free visit to the Ľubovňa castle is granted to one other visitor who accompanies the successful pupil), Šariš Museum in Bardejov as well as Šariš Gallery in Prešov. They will be making their showrooms and displays available to troopers next Saturday 30 June and Sunday 1 July, in some institutions also on Friday 29 June.

The condition for free entry to the museum or gallery is to show a current end-of-year report card with all units. In addition, an additional accompanying person will also receive a free ticket.

Dear children, don't forget to write a competition Travelogue from your visit, connect to it a drawing or photo from the trip and send it to the competition for super prizes! [article:12050;More information about the competition ]

The best pupils and students will also be rewarded by all regional libraries in the region - in Bardejov, Humenne, Poprad, Stara Ľubovna, Svidník, Vranov nad Topľou and Prešov. They offer free membership for one year for a report card with clean units, but they have to prove their membership no later than next Saturday, 30 June.

Museums and galleries under the jurisdiction of the self-governing region were visited by more than 431 thousand visitors last year, almost 46 thousand more than in 2016. The Ľubovňa Museum holds the first place. The castle and open-air museum in Stara Ľubovna was visited by almost 195,000 tourists last year.
