Part of The new amusement park at Doliny in Veľký Šariš includes a pumptrack, which was created on the bank of the Torysa River.
The new artificially created circuit has asphalt treatment and it is suitable for cycling, scooter, skateboarding or skating. The whole track is built in such a way that it is possible to pass it without stepping or bouncing. The cyclist does not pedal but "pumps" with the body. The circuit is made up of waves and hairpin bendsthat allow you to maintain and increase speed.
Construction work on the pumptreck area 350 square meters started in Veľký Šariš at the end of August. Veľkošariš pumptrack track it is variable and can be ridden in all directions, not just on the oval.
Riding on the pumptrack builds practical and technical habits, develops overall physical fitness and coordination. Pumptrack is designed for all age and performance categories of riders from bouncers to racers.
Given that the pumtrack is closed circuit, so in addition to interval training it is possible to enjoy endurance training at an easier pace. Visitors can also come to the circuit to compete - e.g. who can go the fastest lap without pedalling.
The Doliny amusement park also includes skateparkwhich is located behind the bowling alley, next to the tennis court. Work on the skatepark should be completed at the end of October.
Town of Veľký Šariš is also working intensively on the completion of the missing sections of the EuroVelo 11 cycling route, the section at the end of Veľký Šariš, in the gardening area in the direction of Šarišské Michaľany is already asphalted.
Also in the municipality of Šarišské Michaľany the construction of a cycle path is underway. Currently, the section Mlynská - Ketelský potok installation of kerbs.
The pillars for the bridge are already standing by the Ketelský brook and aggregate is being piled.
