The city of Prešov as the metropolis of Šariš offers many places worth visiting. You can visit many of them by bicycle. And not only in Prešov, but also in its surroundings. How much can you visit in five hours? Try it on the fifth edition of the Cyklopátrania on Saturday, September 8, starting in Prešov. There are also special challenges for children!

Small, big, demanding and less skilled cyclists will surely come into their own again. Cyclopathing in Prešov and its surroundings will conclude this year's series of fun and educational races Cyclopathing through the Prešov region. After the end of the race there will be a final draw for various prizes.
In cooperation with Good from Slovakia are prepared during this Cyclopathlon also special tasks for children (accompanied by their parents), children will get nice prizes for completing them. In the app Let's explore you will find them marked with the CHILDREN icon.
Start: September 8, 2018 at 10.00 a.m. Small Maracana in Prešove (A place that is a frequent stop for cyclists in close proximity to the cycle path and sports facilities.)
Registration: 08:55 - 9.55 a.m. at the start
Objective: Small Maracana in Prešov (return time until 15.00)
What you can experience: The charm of cycling through the Prešov region lies in the fact that you choose the destinations of your cycling tour yourself. Depending on your fitness, abilities and interests. We will offer you 15 different places from which you can choose and participate in the competition. You can find the 15 places in the app Let's explore the day before the race together with a map and useful information.
One of the many historical buildings in the centre of Prešov, which has been a city conservation area since 1950, will certainly be one of the competition sites. Prešov is also Exceptional by the fact that in its vicinity there are up to 6 castles. Be surprised which one will be the competition one. We will also present you places with beautiful views a unusual rarities. Do you know that under Lysa Stráž we have a singing well and bizarre rock formations of the most diverse shapes?
Have you heard about Empress Sisi's picnic in the Slánské hills? And do you know that her favourite gemstone was Opal from near Presov? You can also look forward to these places during the Cyclopátrania in Prešov and its surroundings.
How the Cyclopatrol takes place:
At each location, the cyclist has a choice 15 locations of varying difficulty with corresponding point value. It's up to him what tactics, route and which points/places he chooses. There is a 5-hour time limit (you have to be at the finish line by 15.00). The start and finish is at a common place.
Competitors collect competition points for each place visited via the app Let's explore. In it always the day before the start, they will find a map of the location and the competition sites marked on it. At the start of the race they will be given the option to locate themselves (via GPS) in the app. At each competition site they visit, they will locate themselves in the app and earn competition points. The cyclists with the highest number of points and the best time will receive interesting prices. The app is easy to use and also helps you find your way around, including a map.

Registration: On the day of the race (18 August 2018) at the start from 8.55 am to 9.55 am. 1.) Don't forget to download the Discover app before you register. 2.) Already the day before the race from 12.00 p.m. in the app you will find the race Cyklopátranie Levočské vrchy with specific 15 competition places. You can create a race nicknamethrough which you will compete. 3.) You dictate the nickname to us at registration so we can match it to a specific cyclist. In the case of a pair, you compete under one nickname.
Entry fee: Adults (including children over 12 years): 5 €, Children: 3 €, Family entry fee (2 adults and 2 children): 15 €. Entry fee includes map, drink, refreshments at the finish (food, drink).
Categories: Female pairs: sum of ages (a) up to 60 years, (b) over 60 years Male pairs: sum of ages (a) up to 60 years, (b) over 60 years Mixed pairs: sum of ages (a) up to 60 years, (b) over 60 years; Men - solo; Women - solo a Children's tasks (accompanied by a parent/adult)
Prices: The first three places in each category are awarded. At the same time, for each Cyclopathlon, the participant will receive one ticket with his/her name in the final draw for interesting prizes! Thus, during the four Cyclopathons, one participant can receive up to 4 tickets in the draw. The draw will take place after the Cyclopathing in Prešov.
Where to park:
Ideally, park in the car park in front of the sports hall. There are two entrances to the car park - if one is locked, the other will definitely be open. Park your car at the back at the marked spot on the map and then just walk a few metres along the cycle path to the Little Marrakani.
